Every image, a story.

I'M A STOREYTELLER WITH A LIGHT COMPLEX.
I left New York City because I couldn't see the moon rise and was drawn to the light of the desert. I see light and shadow everywhere. Through a crack of an old adobe, piercing a dark canyon, in the eyes of my subjects. This site was curated for people drawn to light, land and story. Light can transform any space. So I have made my light-based photography available as prints. Take a look here. Or visit the editorial section for stories about the borderlands in publications like The New Times, CNN and others. Say hello at jess@jessicalutz.com or visit the studio at 111 S. Dean Street in Marfa. All are most welcome.
