LIMITED EDITION PRINT
Pyramid Lake, Nevada, 2012
This image is part of a series of twelve images taken at intervals during the solar eclipse of 2012. Several friends drove from Texas to Pyramid Lake in the Paiute Reservation, Nevada to experience the eclipse. Each print is titled Eclipse followed by the time the photo was taken so that the progression is evident. 9:06:12 captures the phase before the full eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Moon and Earth are aligned and the moon temporarily blocks sunlight from reaching the earth. What I experienced through the lens that day was life changing and reminded me that we belong to the universe, we are star dust ourselves.
